My First Month at The Augusta Chronicle

Here's a collection of work from my first month as the new staff photographer for the Augusta Chronicle. I was very fortunate to have heard about this position and I am grateful for the opportunity. December has been one of the longest and quickest months of my life and I still can't tell if I feel settled in our not. I suppose it will just take time (and having a bed at some point).

In my first month I have covered two funerals, a memorial, a hospital visit and many feature events. Here's a sample. Feedback with critiques and comments are welcomed.

This is a funeral I covered on Tuesday of Master Public Safety Officer Scott Richardson, 33, who died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from wounds he received when shot during a traffic stop Tuesday evening in the City of Aiken, S.C. That's Richardson's 5-year-old son, Zander, saluting his casket in the second photo.
